She warned me to stay off the skateboard, but I didn’t listen. Afterwards, she asked if I’d been on flat ground. I said yes, first I was on the skateboard, then I was on flat ground. We both wondered what was broken.
Rick Krizman has spent thirty years as a musician and Emmy-winning songwriter and composer. When he isn’t writing music or fiction, he may be fly fishing in Montana, brewing beer, or cooking osso bucco. He studies creative writing with Deborah Reed and will soon begin an MFA program in writing at Pacific U. in Portland. Rick lives with his family in Santa Monica, CA.
