Prologue
While in the past Lisa Kokin has used readable text in her art, in one of her latest works of “asemic art,” she hints at both text and redacted text with sewn lines, creating content just out of reach and left to the reader/viewer’s imagination. Kokin lives, works, and teaches in El Sobrante, CA. She is represented by galleries in CA, TX, ID, and WY. www.lisakokin.com
