When We Were a Dandelion

i digress to last time
when by wind sun and happenstance
we presented, combined –

pale green lanky stem (you)
wisps of white, cloud like top with halo (me)

when once
we were a dandelion –
(wished upon)

Emalisa Rose is a poet, macrame artist, and animal rescue volunteer. She lives by a beach town, which provides much of the inspiration for her art.  She works as a lunch lady in a NY public school. Her current passion is birding, which she hopes to weave into her art.
