The Presence
You were buried deep within –
sleeping through years of
layered darkness, hesitations and
altered voices –
a Delphic, shiny, beautiful
presence –
recently lost to stars –
caused you to wake up:
you rushed out – urgently,
adding sparkles in the air as you went –
while, stirred by your presence,
I followed you.
