Jim Hair is influenced by the political and social changes of the 1970s, and the work of FSA photographers of the 1930s; his goal is to create photographs that show the diversity of life in America.  Subjects range from people living on the edges of society, to established artists and composers who have been embraced by U.S. and world culture.  He lives in Portland, Oregon. www.jimhair.com
