Revising Thoreau
Thoreau
only left
the woods,
his face
shaded
by a wide hat,
to borrow
a pencil
but found out
there was
a fire
downtown
& stayed
to watch.
Now,
whenever
there’s
an interesting bird,
he dashes
outside
& shoots it.
