Lunch on the Porch
Even with its eight eyes,
the jumping spider
can’t see the whole
cushioned chair.
It’s smaller than the
crumbs collecting on
my plate, but when
it jumps toward me,
I move out of its way;
I give it the whole
cushioned chair.
