Neglected Tree



Duane had eaten many apples in his living room, carelessly discarding the cores on the floor with the rest of the rubbish, but it wasn’t until the apple tree that had grown there was blocking his view of the TV that he realized that maybe it was time to start tidying up after himself now and again.









Richard Leavesley was born, raised and lives in Central England and has been writing for small-press publications for over twenty years. Most recently his poem “Leviathan” was published in the horror anthology Fossil Lake II. He is currently writing a sarcastic children’s fantasy about monsters that live in our bedrooms.
